Prepare your travel equipment

- Awning: The van awning extends your living space to the outside of the vehicle. You can sit here and enjoy the view and escape from the sun and rain. Awnings can be fixed to the roof rack, to the wall, or to the roof of the vehicle. You can look for an awning that is customized for your particular model.
- Awning fixing straps kit: These fixing straps hold the awning in place and ensure that it is not distorted by the wind.
- Sun visors: One or more matching sun visors can be fitted to the awning. Side or frontal awnings provide protection from the sun or the elements. They can be fitted in combination to provide better protection. You can also choose a complete sun tent for full protection and an unobstructed view of the open landscape.
- Bike racks: If you need to carry more than one bike in the back of your caravan, you can choose a bike rack designed specifically for fleets. It doesn't matter whether the caravan has its own garage for storing bike racks or whether you want to load them into the back of the vehicle.
- Levelers: Often overlooked, but very useful, these tools can be used to level the vehicle. It may seem unimportant, but if the caravan is parked on uneven ground it can prevent you from sleeping, cooking or even the fridge might not work properly!
- Locks: You are likely to leave many valuable items in your caravan, so it is important to keep them safe. Caravan locks provide added security. Be sure to choose the right fitting for your vehicle brand. What food do I need to bring? In some travel destinations, it may be difficult to see a food shop, so you will need to pack a few staple foods that are resistant to storage.
- Non-perishable staples include pasta, couscous, lentils, etc.
- Canned foods: beans, soups, corn, and peas can be served with different foods.
- Frozen foods: frozen vegetables, meat, or ready-made frozen foods for easy consumption. Tip: Make your own bread. Store-bought bread can go moldy quickly. But the essential ingredients used in homemade bread (oil, water, dry yeast, flour, and salt) can be stored for a long time! Using bread you can make campfire-baked bread, which is not only easy but also fun. You can search the internet for some simple bread recipes. Containers are suitable for refrigeration and freezing: store food in plastic containers. Loose food inside the fridge won't jostle back and forth when you're driving at high-speed bumps.
